An Open Competition for the new Venice Biennale Pavilion
The Australia Council for the Arts has announced that there will be a new Pavilion for the Venice Biennale.
Unfortunately, at this time, it does not envisgage that the design will be determined by public competition.
The architectural profession should be outraged at this possibility.

'Shelved' at Dear Patti Smith Gallery
OpenHAUS has contributed a piece for the
'Shelved'
exhibition at the Dear Patti Smith Gallery.
For the moment, our practice seems to have 'shelved' buildings.
So we thought we would make a collection of representational buildings.
We thought it would be nice to engage with the site of the project - the shelf.
(It seems that you can take the building out of architecture but you can't take the architecture out of us.)
